Unfulfilled Party-ing Mood
Supposingly I should blog this post last night, but the librarian insisted to shut down all the PCs though still left 30 minutes for the library to be closed. Few days ago, we planned to have a so called "post-exam party" but due to lack of "enthusiastic participants" at last we decided to cancel it. I think most of them rather spend their time with books instead of joining the party. So practically can be said that today I'm considered pretty free after the lectures class has ended at 10am. After I get back room, tidy up my and changed the bed sheets. While waiting for the cleaners to come and clean up my room, I dozed off. Till the stupid Amy knocked on my door, I'm stupid enough to open the door for her also. She terrorised my room for a while and asked me for opinions about this and that cuz she just came back from dentist. I chased her out and got back to my bed. Woke up around 130pm, decided to treat myself by calling Dominos Delivery. The cleaner finally came around 245pm. After they done, I took a bath and come to my usual "hangout place" -- Library with my books along. And here I am blogging from library. Carly just got back her laptop, I guess she won't have anymore "blogging from library.....bla bla bla...Part bla bla....". Later will go to play basketball a while then get back to library again. Too bad, the party plan doesn't on. (cuz want to get myself hangover...haih...)

Back to Pace
Block exam is over last friday. Kind of relax for a few day cuz not much stuff is taught so everyday after went home just need to go through whatever has been taught on that day. And I'm still not planning to revise back my first block stuff since University exam only will be held in next year february. Anatomy this subject take the lead again, this subject really make my life back to pace again cuz it's so much to study and memorise. What can I say, i think for my first year MBBS life, Anatomy definitely takes up most of my time.
Since new block started, my sitting in lecture hall is changed. From the last bench of the hall to the second bench, so I'm officially no more a MBBS (member of Back-Benchers Society). I think I was enjoying seating at the back, cuz the lecturers hardly can notice you when you're dozing off or drink water or SMS-ing or eating sweets.
Yesterday in PPD class, we was discussing about leakage of exam question and what will be our reaction if we able to get a leakage. I was so surprise, there're freaking lots of weird people in my class againts leakage (i bet they only againts it when others get one and they don't). Some of them think from moral aspects, ethical aspects and some about religious as well. I was really laughing with some of the statements they've made. It's true that in medicine course, the ability of a medical student must be well examined through examination cuz we will be dealing with human's life in future. From my perspective, as long as I don't steal exam paper from examination center and don't cheat during exam I consider this as morally and ethically well behaviour. If your handphone suddenly comes a message with the tips, why not just take it? It's not wrong to take it. For those who making superior comments about moral and ethical, please only judge yourself and others when you've become a REAL doctor and need to deal with REAL patients. There's the time for you to know whether your concept of ethical matching with what you will do to your patients. If it is so easy to judge everything, there will be no heartless docs exist and malpractice happen in this field.

Parcels
Just got second parcel sent by my mum. Thanks ya mum for sending me my nasal spray, medicine for my sinus problem, herbal tea and some "nutritious" stuff of Excel (though I didn't ask for that). For the first parcel is just about clothes and my playboy's shades. Most of my friends' parents send them food which can't get it over here such as Chipsmore, maggi Hotcup, Milo (india's milo taste diff) and a lot kinds of stuff. In some way, I really think it is not necessary to send all those thing to here. Expensive shipping fees is not the main reason but we should learn how to adapt ourselves to India since you've decided to come over here like what my dad have told me. And I'm totally agree with that. Hey, no offense to anyone okay??? Purely my very personal point of view. Yet I'm still looking forward to the parcel from Carly.

Post-exam Weekend
Friends went to Mangalore today cuz block exam just over. Supposingly after exam should do something relax like clubbing or go for a trip, and yet I didn't follow them for the trip. Last night, after sms-ing with my dad, I feel a bit stressed and really not in mood for the trip. How was it supposed to feel, whenever you've failed to achieve something yet your parents still say : "I know you can do it!!!". Ya I know that they are encouraging me, sometimes pressure is come from myself. Put the pressure aside and concentrate on effort, I'm going to give my best shot again for the up comings. So my plan for weekend after first block exam is spent a few hours in library, read the newly bought John Grisham's novel which I bought it almost 2 months ago (should put medical books aside for a while) and rewatch my favorite glamour high school series --Gossip Girl. Ciao.

Erm, actually I should write something more but I really don't know what to blog about. Study life is seriously stressful and boring. Hey folks, leave me messages in my chat box okay though I seldom update my blog but almost everyday I log in for a few minutes to check my chat box.

Insignificant in Future
Thank God now I am not in the mood to study so able to update my blog. A burden is off from my shoulder after finished anatomy spotters exam. And you know what??? I really screw it!!! Haha. Anatomy theory paper on tuesday, I wonder how I will die on that day. No matter how hard I study, I still can't remember everything like the course, relations of nerves and arteries. Others just study and able to remember it. Now I really have doubt with my decision. Since A-level, I knew "my brain" doesn't have that great capacity and yet I still decided to enter this career. I still can recall a lecturer told us in PPD ( Personal and Personality Development. something like that not very sure), she said a difference in 25 marks can't determine what doctor you will be in future. (passing mark=50, distinction=75), so just be who you are and don't compare with others. I'm not sure whether is a right thing to do by using her phrase to console myself after I screwed up everything. Whatever experienced have encountered in this first anatomy spotters exam, I will take it as a lesson. Anatomy this subject really remind me of Additional math during high school time and physics during Pre-U. Exam finishing in next friday, new block will start immediately on saturday. It's the time to make a change.

Spotters Not Spotted
Around three more weeks to my first block exam, hope that I can get through this with the result I expect in order to prove to myself I made a right choice that I've entered into medical career. Am I tension?? I guessed not cuz at here everyday life is just about TENSION. Packed with presentation and test, pressure by lecturers and etc... Already used to the pace of life being a medical student. The only thing that revolves around us is BOOKS -- thick with small letters which need magnifying glass. Though all of us here are medical students, but those typical type students still can see in my class. It doesn't mean all medical students are NERDS. There are those just study for the sake of exam, some of them do last minute study, some of them study 24/7...can see them around with BOOKS anywhere, anytime and they won't do any sport or have other entertaiment, some of them who do not expect much and able to balance between fun and studies, some of them just skip the lectures with whatever reasons they can think of.( hope that they still able to sit for Uni exam after 1 year cuz 90% attendance is required). It's great that I've learned how to manage stress, tension and anxiety...
My block exam will start with those practical exam first, most of the practical exam are Spotters oriented instead asking you to perform the experiment. For dissection and anatomy, around 30 stations will be there, each station only last for 1 minute. The specimen like upper limbs, lower limbs and bones will just put on the table of each station..We need to identify the pointed structure, write out their origin, insertion, nerve supply and actions (for muscle) in ONE minute. You guys think easy rite?? Just memorise then okay already...But all the nerves, arteries, veins, mucles are just looked alike. Spotters is really a suicide exam. Haha. Same goes to physiology, biochem and histology practicals. Don't get scared with what I've mentioned here if you're planning to enter MBBS course especially in India cuz at here just simply have too much corpse for us to practise. So far what I've heard from friends those medical students in UK and malaysia do not have that kind of Spotters exam like what I have in India. Their spotters exam is different from here. Wah, quite a long post...better stop here..cuz later kerry don't want to read my post. Ngek ngek ngek...Ciao.

Fingers
Wanted to update my blog few days ago after I played a basketball match against malaysia north team. I was in South team and we won the game. But unfortunately, my right hand index finger had minor tissue injury and it was swollen red and pain. Went to hospital on tuesday morning, when the doctor asked go for X-ray, at the moment I was thinking maybe the bones got problem. Quite scared cuz is right hand. Haha. After X-ray, she told me just minor tissue injury, my index finger and middle finger are still in bandage now (in order do not let the index finger to bend). Now I only realised the importance of these two fingers, I cant write fast in lectures cuz cant even hold the pen properly. Haih. Few more days to go to take out the bandage but at least now I don't feel any pain anymore. But my heart is pain cuz Liverpool didn't make it to moscow last night. Haih haih haih!!!!
