Catching Up the Pace

A friend of mine asked me to update my blog with more cadaver's photos. I just simply don't have any time to do this and blog a nice post. Just finished drawing three stupid epithelium for my histology journal, it took me 75 minutes to complete all the drawings. These few days are really busy and stressed with studies so doesn't have anything special to blog about. Since nothing special to write, just roughly type out my upcoming events here.

27/3 Physiology Self-directed Learning Presentation
31/3 Anatomy Test

New Discovery

In last two days, me and my friends discovered another two new places for food. A chinese restaurant which sell real chinese cuisine named Thailin, like sweet&sour pork, sambal kangkung and etc.We were just so greedy and order a lot of dishes. Finally we are very sure what we ordered cuz everytime when visit the local restaurant, those name for the food we really don't know what is that but we will just order and try. Discover dish by dish everytime we visit the particular restaurant. The lady boss is a chinese and she speak hakka but she is an india borned chinese. Wah, feel so homie when having our dinner there. Another place is Baskins, other than subway and Domino's, I get the chance to eat cheap Baskins ice-cream as well. Today is good friday, it is a public holiday in India. I went to church for mass with friends. Wish everyone that reading my blog, Happy Easter Day. Ciao.

University Life

I've been experienced my uni life around 1 week already. At first still not really used to it cuz it had been a long time I didn't attend for lectures. It's hard to pay concentration for hours of lectures after rested for so long. But now everything is back to pace, I'm able to stay up late with my books instead of ps2, astro and football when I was slacking at home. Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, histology are the subjects that I need to face for 12 months time. Till now, anatomy and physiology interests me more whereas I don't like biochem that much. I felt proud too cuz didn't faint in the first dissection class. The smell is really terrible, but now i'm immuned to it already cuz almost every morning 8am to 10am I will be seeing my so called "friend" which his penis already gone. I wonder how he died also. During dissection class, I can feel hungry some more. Haha. My class is made up of 126 people. Out of this number only 43 people are self-sponsored. The rest are JPA and MARA students. So, there're damn a lot of malays in my class. The most boring thing is when attending any lectures or practical lab session, need to sit according to college roll number that means you're not able to sit with your friends. Haha. There's a genius malay boy in my class, he is JPA sponsored student, I named him as "problems boy" cuz every single lectures he sure has thousand of questions to ask. And the way he talks got a kind of slang which really make us giggling while he is asking the lecturers question.

My usual lecture classroom.

Dissection of pectoral region.

Dissection of axilla part. (armpit)

"auto" which is much more cheaper than taxi.

Maple Beach

Last sunday, I went to Maple beach which is nearby to Manipal. The journey took 30 minutes by "auto". Initially, a big group of classmates planned to go together but due to some reasons, at last only three of us determined to go, Joe, Amy and me. When we departed from campus, it was raining. Joe was keep convincing us that the beach there might not be raining as well. So we three idiots still very determined to visit the beach. By the time, we reached the beach, the rain stopped. There were a lot of people. And everyone is looking us as if we are aliens. Guess what are the most number of things or people at the beach? If your answer is Ice-cream stall, you're right. But there is another answer for this question, the answer is GAYS. Haha. Never expect this answer right? And quite a number of them requested to take photos with Joseph, in a minute, he became indians' hot stuff already whereas Amy and I had an idea of pimping him at the beach to get some pocket money. The sea in the evening is quite rough so we didn't get to play banana boat ride and bumpy boat ride. Only a normal boat ride was available, it costs us 50 rupees per person. The sea was s rough till the water splashed all the passengers on the boat especially those who were sitting in front. And me, totally get wet. We went for camel ride too. Joe went to swim in the sea, left me and amy waiting for him by the beach cuz both of us didn't bring any clothes along. When it started to rain again, we took auto back to campus. On the way back, the "auto" almost tumbled down. At last, the driver get some help from other "auto" drivers, so we had a safe ride back to campus. There's the only photo Joe taken with those "brotherhood" friends using his camera. Quite a number of them take their own handphones to take photo with Joe. Haha. Taken during boat ride.

Camel Ride. The camel that I rode is so tall.

Three silly idiots that insisted go to the beach when it's raining.

The sea is so rough in the evening.

Anyway, it's a good place to visit and relax when we really stressed up with those anatomical terms. We will be visiting the beach again in two or three weeks time.

Udupi

Since saturday lectures was finished at 10am, two friends of mine and me decided to make a trip to a nearest town, Udupi which is so near to Manipa by "Du-Du car" (in chinese) or people at india call it "auto". We went to Superintendent of Udupi first cuz one of my friend Joseph still hasn't report to the police station. Once we reached there the queue was so long, most were our classmates. So we went to Big Bazaar for shopping and planned to get back after their lunch time. The little tiny girl, Amy that I mentioned in previous post wanted to buy a saree, but at last didn't get any of that. She is so thin that the saree can wrap her for two times. Haha. For her size, she need to try the kid's punjabi suit. Can you imagine how tiny she is but with a big space for her tummy? After shopping, we walked around just to find a "safe" restaurant to eat that won't bring any bad impacts to us. Finally we found one and settled down. Soon after we finished our lunch, we took "auto" again back to the police station. It took two hours to finish all the things and took "auto" again back to campus. Tomorrow evening I will be going to Maple beach with a bunch of classmates.
I need to add this pic to this post cuz got someone forced me to do that. Hey you guys see the saree damn "cacat" right? Like window curtains hanging on her.

A girl that can eat more than any of my friends that I've known

Settled Down

Argh, finally got my internet connection in my new campus, MMMC Manipal. So I will just blog about some experience during the journey to Manipal, India. Skip the part that I had trouble checking in my luggages at KLIA. Fly from malaysia to Bangalore on air bus A380. This is my first time travel through MAS so frankly the air hostress aren't that bad. They were quite friendly. After reached Bangalore, though is a international aiport but it is so lame. Only see fans hanging around, totally no AC. Luckily I was travelling in a group, 43 self-sponsored students, all are from malaysia. At least we help each other up when taking the luggages from the conveyer. To my surprise, the weather of Bangalore is like Genting, so cold and comfortable. After we left our luggages in the lorry which will brought our luggages all the way to Manipal. Whereas, we checked in a hotel in Bangalore which I already forgot the name. So the next day, we departed from Bangalore Airport to Mangalore through Jet Airways. The journey took around 45 minutes.

Everyone was like so happy cuz we thought only take an hour to reach our campus from mangalore by bus. Who knows, the journey took two and a half hours and the worse thing is the road is damn damn bumpy. You will get bruises on your face if you sleep against the bus window and the butts can become flat too. After we reached our campus, got a warm welcome from our seniors Batch 21 as I am in Batch 22. Luckily I got the type of room I wanted.

In india, they never say photocopy or photostat and air con instead of xerox and AC. There are no traffic lights on the road. All the drivers will just use thier horns and "pee-eeee" around, definitely is a kind of sound pollution. Another thing is at here always black out during nights, since the day I came the electricity already tripped around 6 0r 7 times in less than one week time. But everyone is cool when there's blackout unlike malaysia girls will be screaming around. Just stay calm for a few seconds and the electricity will be back. Besides, the weather in manipal is so damn hot cuz now is summer. Everytime I get out from my room, when I get back sure need to take a bath. I got the chance to eat cheap Domino's and Subway at here cuz paying in rupees. Till now, it is my sixth day in India and yet I'm still not really used to their food. I've been drinking mineral water cuz at here water is not clean but slowly I'll be immuned to it. Actually, I still have a lot more to write but need to finish my physiology and biochem first. I will blog again soon after the trip to a nearby beach, Maple Beach this sunday.

p/s: Carly, I get to know a friend who is shorter and thinner than teckie and wan lin but able to eat more than you and suquinn. Scary. Haha.

6 years

A lot of things and memories are floating in my mind. I had been planning for this post quite a long time ago. Frankly, I still don't know how to put it in words or as well as other languages. What I can say... It is a six-year great friendship and I hope it will last forever. I don't want to make it sounds too emotional or what. To those misunderstood before, for your knowledge, this friendship had been through a lot and eventually it becomes stronger and stronger. It was never the way you thought it should be.Like what I've said, it might be a bit dramatic as only able to see such strong friendship in dramas -- friends do help each other when they need and love each other no matter what had happened. Crystal, thanks for everything. I'll always miss you. All the best in obtaining your STPM result on this coming Tuesdays.

Home Sweet Home

I'll stay at home for another two days. Leaving for KL on saturday midnight train. My flight to Bangalore, India on this coming sunday at 2155. I guess KL to Bangalore needs around 4 to 5 hours, I'm still not so sure. Malaysia's time is 3 hours ahead of India's time. Reach Bangalore around 2355 (India time) then spend a night at hotel. The next day, will take another flight from Bangalore to Mangalore. From there, only take a shuttled bus to my new campus. This is my first time to travel alone to a foreign country, usually dad will take care everything if we go for a vacation. Now everything is on my own, I only will feel relieved until everything is settled down in my new campus. Fortunately, I'm going to India with a group of people taking the same course with me. Soon, most of us will be classmates. I'll miss my PS2, astro, home's cooking, internet (if doesn't have a good one over there). Still not manage to meet some of my friends before I leave but I hope we can keep in touch with each other. Frankly, I do not feel sad at all for leaving so far from my home. Maybe I used to it already cuz had been experienced this while I was doing my A-level at INTI.

"Feelings" Comes

After I went to the orientation yesterday in Melaka Manipal and got to know how it is going to be after I reach India, I started to feel the pressure. Afraid that I might not be able to do well or excel in this field. But I know I'll always try my best. Yesterday was really not my day, I planned to watch the Arsenal match at 11pm. My PC screen suddenly went blank while I was chatting with one of my ex-coursemate. It's blackout. Argh, I can't watch football match again. Luckily Liverpool is not today's match. Soon the electricity came, I tried to online but my phone line was having problem till today's evening. But I still managed to see Arsenal score at 2nd minute of 3 minutes added time.

My mum woke me up early this morning to go for breakfast, it is sunday I thought can sleep till almost lunch time. Haih. I went to tailor to take my blazers then went for "dim sum" with my family. Great news, I've started to pack my lugagge.

Went out again with a friend cuz promised to accompany her to buy a new handphone. She's so indecisive between SE K770i and Nokia 6500 slider. After she asked quite a number of friends, SE K770i got the most votes. At last, she bought it. Other than handphones, she's still not sure about what course to choose for degree cuz she's still waiting for STPM result. After got all my advice, she said she will think about it seriously. May all the best things can happen in her life. She's got all my blessing and concerns. Take care. I feel sad too cuz these two years we didn't get enough time and spared more time for each other and yet I'm leaving soon. So just let our friendship flow, what ever will be, it will be.
